Just over a week after being officially revealed, Gentrieve 2, the latest title from developer Phr00t, can now be pre-ordered for $6.
As we detailed upon the game’s original announcement, Gentrieve 2 will expand the MetroidVania-inspired action-adventure setup of the original game and bring it to life in a procedurally-generated 3D world. As with his last outing, 3079, Phr00t has set his sights on the creation of a revolutionary advancement in the art of procedural generation within the open-world video game genre, placing a keen emphasis on the seamless development of expansive, living, breathing worlds whilst assuaging fears of such noted drawbacks as repetitive artistic design and general performance instability issues.
