The Ship

The Ship: Full Steam Ahead is the official title of the freshly announced sequel to 2006′s The Ship: Murder Mystery. This would be Blazing Griffin’s first The Ship game, since the original game was developed by Outerlight which has since been bought up by Blazing Griffin and disbanded.

Blazing Griffin has a Kickstarter planned for The Ship: Full Steam Ahead, which will go live October 31st, also the first day Kickstarter will be available in the United Kingdom. Since Blazing Griffin is based out of the United Kingdom, their Kickstarter page will be tallied in pounds sterling, rather than dollars.

Along with the launch of the Kickstarter campaign, Blazing Griffin will offer up some concept-art treats which will be released later on in the week, to draw more attention to the Kickstarter campaign. “…we think they’re lovely,” said Trevor Fountain founder of Blazing Griffin, in regards to the media treats, “and we’ve got a selection of attractive rewards you can get by funding the project.”

The Ship: Murder Mystery was released in 2006 and had players roving through a 1920s cruise ship, attempting to kill a targeted player, without anyone else noticing while also avoiding the player who has been assigned to kill them.

The developers of The Ship, Outerlight Ltd, put out Bloody Good Time only a couple years ago. It’s a lot like The Ship, but faster paced.

Still, The Ship was good fun. A sequel should be as well, if they can inject a little freshness.
