It’s been no secret that Guns of Icarus Online, Muse Games’ class-based multiplayer air combat extravaganza, is on the horizon. Having been made available for pre-order through the game’s official site last week, it’s now getting the Steam treatment. Unlike on the official site, the game can’t yet be pre-ordered through Valve’s digital marketplace, but a tentative release date of August 2012 has been slapped onto its Steam blurb.
With the game’s Closed Beta phase also popping up in around two weeks’ time, Muse Games will be holding five weekends’ worth of press preview events, during which an overview, as well as a few subtle nuances, of the game will be showcased. As you might have guessed, that’ll be directly followed by the full Open Beta phase, details of which are yet to be fully announced.
Stay tuned for more information on Guns of Icarus Online as and when it emerges. In the meantime, you can find out more about the game by reading our interview with Howard Tsao, CEO of Muse Games.
