Intermediaware Christmas

Intermediaware have put together four indie games and named it their Indie Game Christmas Bundle. We know what you are thinking, but wait! This is purely Christmas related and it actually does a pretty good job of spreading the Christmas spirit.

What may seem like another pay-what-you-want bundle soon shows a more positive side when you find out that when you buy the bundle you buy it for yourself and all of your friends! Currently we are gestating in our own (false) generosity. This clever idea works like this: there are four indie games, you pay whatever price you want for them. Pay over $6.99 and you also receive the official soundtracks as MP3 albums. Once you have set your price, you then fill out your name and email address. Pretty standard so far.

Here comes the good bit, you can then put in as many of friends email addresses as you please, and they will also receive the bundle as gifts from you. The catch is that you all have to wait until Christmas Eve, but how exciting is that?! We haven’t been this excited about receiving a Christmas present since we were jumping around in anticipation of unwrapping out Super Nintendo. Then of course, we will have all of our friends sending us estranged emails, “Did you buy me these games for Christmas?” Our reply will of course be, “Why yes, actually. Hope you enjoy them. Aren’t we so generous? Bathe in the warmth of our radiant generosity. Go on.”

Enough of that though. The games available in the bundle are as follows (descriptions by Intermediaware):

Captain Backwater – The biggest pirate puzzle adventure ever. My latest and most addictive game. Must have.
Absolute Blue – Adrenaline pumping action-arcade shooter. 60 sectors. Massive upgrades and power-ups.
Temple Of Tangram- Simply the best tangram game available. Original puzzle inlay fun for all ages.
Psychoballs – Mind-boggling pipe-systems. ONE mistake and your masterfully crafted plan goes to pieces.

The games are available for Windows. Captain Backwater and Temple of Tangram are also available for Mac OS X and Linux. If you are one of the first 100 customers, you will also get the unreleased level editor for Captain Backwater.

Strange, and I cannot really say that I am interested in the games.

In fact they do not even look like they are worth the minimal $1.00 order, to me at least.
