SCHAR: Blue Shield Alliance

I have no idea what SCHAR stands for but I am guessing it’s what pirates call Cher. Judging from the first 30 seconds of the teaser, SCHAR: Blue Shield Alliance is all about fighting hordes of imploding, puke-colored space ships. The future me who has watched all of the trailer and read the press release says that’s nonsense though, so I will let him take over for argument’s sake.

Future me: Ignore that buffoon and take note of my educated description of this fine-looking game. SCHAR is actually another game from a journalist – wait, hold on! What’s going on here? Last week Rossignol released AVSEQ and now this week we have Nick Puleo of Co-Optimus announcing this under the guise of Brain Shape Games. If that’s not worth a conspiracy I don’t know what is! If they expect us to judge their creations fairly then they another thing coming – you two are starting a bit of a trend here so we’ll nip that in the bud by saying your games are rubbish, therefore smartly discouraging any other journalists from thinking making games is a good idea. The cheek of it!

Right. Where was I? Ah yes, Blue Shield Alliance is a top-down shooter with 4 player co-op (what else from Puleo?) and incorporates elements of strategy and RPG’s as well. Is that supposed to be cool and clever, Puleo? Bah, it’s utter trolley grease! Every game incorporates those genres nowadays, don’t you know? Oh what’s that, developing a game as well as being a journalist means you miss some things? Well that’s your own bloody fault, mister! Don’t come crying to us if you’re not with the trend.

Ahem. Oh screw it just watch the trailer and extract the details from this link.

SCHAR: Blue Shield Alliance will be coming to Xbox Live and PC some unknown time in the future, like the game on Facebook to keep on top of the updates.
