cube World Hang Gliding

Cube World has been in development since June of last year and has been coming along great guns with a new video just released showcasing some awesome new additions. Cube World is a Voxel-based exploration RPG that is currently under heavy development by just a two man team. Considering how it is only two people working on Cube World (and was only Wollay for a long time) the game is looking very great already.

The latest updates in Cube World add a whole host of new elements to the game which are as follows:

  • Hang gliders – It is proposed this will be available once you reach level 10 and look awesome fun. When you fall down or hit a wall you get stunned briefly, forcing you to be ever watchful of where you are headed.
  • Stun mechanic – Some attacks will be able to stun enemies now, adding a little extra strategy and depth to the combat mechanics.
  • Dungeons – various dungeons in different setting, the video (below) shows some of the castle dungeons which feature female Orcs.
  • Zones – Addition of rare zones that have a low spawn rate in a similar way to items. These areas will contain stronger monsters and drop much better loot making them a must as you progress in Cube World.

In addition to these main features  there is also a whole host of new monsters and items being introduced along with additional zone title sets such as lava lands. Check out the multiplayer video below.

Cube World is looking better and better and this new video makes it look like a whole load of fun. I am really looking forward to this title, especially as the developers say it draws inspiration from Minecraft, Zelda, and Diablo this game sounds to just be a winner.

Keep up to date with all the development over on Wollay’s blog here. The blog is going to be getting a facelift soon however and may not remain at this address. Be sure to check back to The indie Game Magazine for all the latest news as it breaks.
