There’s some big news in the point-and-click adventure department — at least that’s what my small potato-shaped friends tell me. Rather than trust them it would probably be better to just read this news post. Daedalic Entertainment, developer behind games such as Deponia, The Whispered World, and The Dark Eye: Chains of Satinav is about to release their latest game: Edna & Harvey: Harvey’s New Eyes. In this zany handmade cartoon adventure, enter Lilli, a young girl at a convent school. At a first glance she may seem to be the best-behaved girl in the world. She carries out chores without complaint, no matter how unfair they may be. But you soon realize that there is more than meets the eye to her character.
Her angry thoughts are eerily and almost tragically buried under a facade of sweet innocence. But how long can this last? Are these strange gnomes she sees that paint over anything upsetting with a pleasant pink color real? Or are they just a product of her subconscious? When a mysterious set of events leaves Lilli with her best friend Edna missing, she has to fight against her fears and face a tough journey to bring her back and rise above her subconscious. So far it sounds like an engrossing enough task.
Edna & Harvey: Harvey’s New Eyes will be released on Steam October 16th for $19.99. You can learn more on the game’s official website and read our review of the previous mobile entry, Edna & Harvey: The Breakout.
