STASIS is looking like it’s going to join the hall of dark sci-fi greats amongst Alien, Dead Space, System Shock and many more when it comes out some time this year. Don’t believe us? Check out the new trailer and feel the atmosphere.
There’s not many things in this decrepit world that will excite a certain circle of gamers. These are a type that dwell in dark, sci-fi games filled with tension, death and usually aliens or psychotic robots. If you are one of those, prepared to be severely strip teased by STASIS.
Cleaned up the drool yet? Good. So as you can see, STASIS is a classic isometric adventure game set in an abandoned research facility. You play as John Maracheck as he searches for his family in this deadly place, solving puzzles and using the environment and various objects to advance. With very fluid animations, astounding lighting effects and creepy audio design; STASIS is something you can stare at for hours. Read the teaser description and watch the gameplay below to finish yourself off.
“Disoriented, drowsy, and in pain, John Maracheck opens his eyes. Nothing greets him, but the static of a nearby monitor, and a cold steel floor. Thick green liquid covers the floor and his body, leading to a nearby, steaming stasis-pod. He slowly gets to his feet, trying to take in his surroundings. Where is his wife? His daughter? What the hell is going on….?”
