Freebie: ‘Bit Of War’ (God Of War Demake)

Holmade Games has finally released their God of War demake, Bit Of War, as freeware so now you can take on Olympus in all your 2D wrath!

After four years, the part-time developed freeware demake, Bit of War, has finally unleashed its Kratos fury unto the world, so it’s about time you got around to playing it. The game is an 8-bit re-imagining of the God of War universe and acts as a love letter to old school gaming and the hit series itself.

While everything is stripped down to the utmost simplicity, fans should recognise the creatures, the famous chain-blades, the Medusa head (which turns enemies to stone) and of course Kratos himself – even if he is a little cuter than normal. While the actual game itself is finished now, there are a few things to be added: controller support, a manual and a download on IndieDB.

For now, you can download Bit of War from the official website for free.

More information on Bit of War can be found on the official website or over on IndieDB.
