kickstarter-header

Hello and welcome to Week 2 of IGM’s Fund It series! Each week we will showcase 5 Kickstarter projects that we at IGM think are totally worth funding. Here we go:

devils-cove

Devil’s Cove Adventure Game by Anarchy Enterprises: Devil’s Cove is a point and click adventure in which you must work to stop the villain,  a sinister plague doctor, from terrorizing the town. You must discovery why the local authorities refuse to take action and solve the mystery of Devil’s Cove in order to vanquish the evil that dwells there. Anarchy Enterprises is developing Devil’s Cove for PC, Mac, iOS and Android devices and they have awesome rewards for backers who contribute anything above $1.

papier adventure

Papier Adventure by Spycraft Studios: The stills from Papier that are available so far are breathtaking! The game seeks to immerse the player into a “world made of paper that combines the latest of game technology with the aesthetic of hand drawn surfaces”. The game play is RPG style and you play as the title character Papier, a boy who makes his way to the Arcane Library where the books that allow everything in the world to exist are kept and discovers that most of the pages from his book have been stolen. Papier will be released on Windows, Linux, Mac, iOS and Android.

monsters

Monsters by QuadraTron: Monsters is a retro style horror shooter that comes with a very interesting twist: every time you shoot, you lose life. In order to survive, the player must collect the monster’s hearts after killing them in order to regain the life they have lost. To play the game users must manipulate twin stick controls and fight off monsters in waves; there will be forty waves in total, divided up into four different themed sections: bones, bile, phlegm and blood. Monsters will be available on Mac, Windows and Linux and QuadraTron currently has a browser based demo of the game available as well.

katattack

Kat Attack by Axel Shokk: Kat Attack is “an action-oriented interactive comic set in a distant dystopian future about a guitar-beam-cannon wielding space pirate named Kat who battles ruthless mercenaries and mobsters as she searches for the legendary astroturf.” Axel Shokk is describing the game as a “visual novel” and what makes the game extra interesting is that does not follow a linear storyline; instead, the actions players take in the game by interacting with NPCs will directly affect the story arc for the player and the side quests that the player has the opportunity to engage in. Kat Attack promises to be an engaging game with a good mix of cut scenes and plot and will be available on PC.

football heroes

Football Heroes by Run Games LLC: Football Heroes is a RPG in which players are tasked with building the ultimate football team. Though football and RPGs don’t sound like they would go together, Run Games LLC appears to have found the perfect merger between the two. Different plays and actions in football games allow players to build up XP, which can then be used to allot skills to players and unlock powerful new moves. Within the football games there is also opportunity to fight other players, including a dedicated punching button. Football Heroes features a touch interface and is being developed for Android and iOS devices.
