These guys certainly keep themselves busy.
Not content to take a well-earned break following the release of their last two Xbox 360 titles, Take Arms and 48 Chambers, also available for Windows PC, Discord Games have released a few sketchy details about their next gaming project, known simply as Solus.
Although specific information on the game’s fundamental mechanics are as yet in short supply, we’ve managed to ascertain via Twitter that the game will take the form of an open-world shooter based in a science-fiction universe. We’ve also been informed that the game’s environmental terrain will be mineable, inevitably drawing comparisons among the gaming community with a certain PC title we can’t quite remember the name of.
But let’s not jump the gun here until the game’s official announcement, which, so we’re told, should be coming soon. We’ll be intrigued to find out how Solus differs from Discord’s previous projects, and we’re also looking forward to discovering whether or not the developers have any plans to branch out onto multiple platforms this time round. Time, as they say, will reveal all.
In the meantime, we’d urge you to have a gander at Discord’s official site, where you can find out about the company’s previous efforts within the gaming industry. Furthermore, we’ve also learned that 48 Chambers will be part of the upcoming Because We May campaign, bringing the game’s price down by 50% between May 24th and June 1st.
