Just yesterday Muse Games official sent their new multiplayer game Guns Of Icarus Online out for its maiden voyage. Leaving from New York City it was to encounter fierce resistance from one of the strongest hurricanes to hit the city in over a century. The strong, robust ship persevered and managed to get away in stunning fashion leaving the wind battered city in its wake, to sail for the sunnier horizon of the internet.
What a day for Muse Games, a small New York based game studio to peg their latest game for release. We are all aware most releases are plagued with last minute issues, but these normally don’t quite extend to the forces of nature turning against them.
The studio pressed on however with last minute tweaks and alterations, it appears not even mother nature could slow them down. As the clock continued to count down the studio began to gain speed and added momentum with the wind now firmly behind them as Guns Of Icarus Online sailed into launched yesterday and with minimal problems. Heralding this flagship title sailing into a new dawn of multiplayer gaming in this very inspired new take on multiplayer gaming.
Guns Of Icarus Online is a first person airship based combat game set in a fantastically designed steampunk world. The game is focused very heavily around team based combat with each ship’s crew working together picking up the roles very much established on traditional ships to carry out this tense, fast paced combat. With the main difference being you are captaining these magnificent vessels above the clouds.
Guns Of Icarus Online really does shake up the online community and focuses on bringing a new and very engaging new style of combat to the PC market. Really making a break from the many traditional team focused competitive games currently available for something quite unique.
Muse Games is a small eight person team who have been developing this exciting new title for over a year off the back of their Kickstarter success. From its humble beginnings Guns Of Icarus Online really looks to provide a new fantastic online platform for players to blow each other up in. With their sights set firmly on the e-Sports market and future content including a PvE model I am sure Guns Of Icarus Online will remain afloat for many years to come.
Guns Of Icarus Online can be purchased via the Steam for $19.99. Be sure to follow the great guys over at Muse Studios on the official site here.
