Guns of Icarus Online has been ruffling our tail feathers for some time now, probably since we had that in-depth interview with Howard Tsao of Muse Games. Development on the game, though still being in alpha, seems to be coming along nicely and the developers are certainly enjoying their own game as they showcase in the new gameplay trailer.
The game is unique in that it offers a rather unique experience in the form of proper airship combat, meaning that you’ll need to work together as a team in order to operate your air-bound vehicle as well as shoot up the opposition. Just picture it now – four of you manning your very own airship playing as either the Captain, one of the Gunners or an Engineer and battling it out against other ships above the post-apocalyptic waste. Ahhhhh, sweet bliss…hmm, on second thoughts there are miniguns so it probably won’t be so “bliss”. You get the idea.
You may not have to picture the game in your head though as you may already be playing the closed beta, if you’re not then don’t fret, you still MIGHT have a chance of getting in if you sign up to the game’s newsletter.
Guns of Icarus Online is also pre-order able now too, though this won’t give you access to the closed beta before you ask. There are a few different pre-order options, depending on how much dosh you want to fork out, but you should know that these prices are 25% off the release price so it’s worth pre-ordering if you plan on getting the game.
More information on Guns of Icarus Online is plentiful over on the game’s official website.
