Once again we’re hear to talk about stompy mechs (you love it) as another teaser for Hawken has been released. Yes it’s impressive, in fact it’s so Michael Bay that we’re even questioning if we can report on it as an indie game. This just in – it’s still an indie game!
While we’re joking about Hawken suddenly not becoming indie, it is actually something that is being discussed by those awful forum people. Stop bickering will you?! Yes, Hawken is mighty impressive. Yes, it just reportedly raised over $10 million in funding which is a staggering amount of money. But of course the game is still indie through and through so don’t you question it.
We didn’t report on that last piece of news previously, so here goes! The developers behind Hawken, Meteor, went to the investors behind League of Legends – Benchmark Capital and FirstMark Capital and pitched the game to them. They later walked out with cash crammed in every orifice and able to build the game how they see fit. Pretty impressive wouldn’t you say?
If you haven’t signed up for Hawken yet you can still do so right here – it’s going to be free-to-play you know! If you want more information on the game then you better stomp over to the official website.
