Hello again readers, and welcome back to IGM Limelight. The article series where each day we take the most deserving games from Steam Greenlight, and put them in the Limelight.
Sometimes after a long day of work, you just need to go home and play some videogames. Usually a mindless zombie killer helps me relax. That’s why when I first saw the game Zombies release from TheBigNic, I couldn’t believe it. It was almost as if I was the target audience!
In all seriousness, Zombies is a very un-serious zombie killing game. The trailer makes it look silly, but I can deal with that. In a time where every other game released stars zombies in some way, major developers almost need to put them in to sell. This game looks like a satire on the popularity, so it earned my respect. Even without the catchy music and entertaining gameplay I want it on Steam.
Zombies has earned my vote as deserving the IGM Limelight. Not because it’s an original idea, but because it has the guts to mock those without enough brains to come up with them. You can buy Zombies on its website now, or vote for it on Greenlight to see it on Steam someday.
So developers! You want to see your Greenlight game on IGM Limelight? You can post a thread in the IGM forums. We’ve got a subforum all set up for developers to tell us about their games!
By the way, October 15th is when the next batch of games will be approved for Steam. So be sure to read our other Limelight articles to find the games you want on Steam.
