Uprising44: The Silent Shadows is coming closer and closer to its release, and the game’s developers, DMD Enterprise announced today that Immanitas Entertainment secured exclusive worldwide publishing rights for Uprising44: The Silent Shadows.

Uprising44 combines the action of a third-person shooter with the critical thinking skills of a real-time strategy. The unique blend of gameplay elements is not the only aspect of Uprising44 which sets it apart from other games: the game is based on the Warsaw Uprising, an event which no game has yet featured.

The Warsaw Uprising occurred during World War 2 when the Polish resistance attempted to expel the Nazis from Warsaw. The event was a big bloody battle that ended up destroying 85% of the buildings in the city. In Uprising44 players take on the role of the Silent Shadows, an elite group of paratroopers dropped behind enemy lines, attempting to aid the Polish resistance in overthrowing the Nazi occupiers.

During combat, players can utilize up to sixteen different weapons while shouting orders to their allies and seeking cover from a vastly overwhelming enemy force. During the RTS portions of the game, players are presented with a strategic overview of the action so they can better direct groups of fighters to be the most efficient against the German forces.

Uprising44: The Silent Shadows will be available in stores and digital distribution platforms this winter, published and distributed worldwide exclusively by Immanitas Entertainment. The digital download version is already available on Uprising44′s official website.
