‘Indie Game: The Movie’ Pre-Orders Available On Steam For June 12th Release

We’ve been saying this for the last 10 minutes: “this is a bit weird, isn’t it?” Well, whatever it is, we quite like it – Indie Game: The Movie is going to be released on June 12th and it will be available on Steam, iTunes and the official site.

So, first up, if you have pre-ordered the film before now then you will get it delivered to you as a DVD as was originally planned. However, it will now be available on Blu-Ray too and you can get a free upgrade to that if you want. You’ll also get download links to some extra bonuses too: the originally bundled 1080P digital download/stream of the movie, a digital copy of the Indie Game: The Movie Soundtrack by Jim Guthrie, a Steam code for ‘Indie Game: The Movie’ and a Steam code for ‘Super Meat Boy’.

You should have an email about all of this anyway. For everyone else who hasn’t pre-ordered the movie then, as we said, it’s now available to pre-order on Steam with a 10% discount. It’s weird to us too, but hey, take the opportunity if you want it. It will run on both Windows and Macs.

Indie Game: The Movie follows, most prominently, Phil Fish as he develops Fez and takes it to festivals, Team Meat as they build up to the release of Super Meat Boy and Jonathan Blow as he thinks up his next game after the success of Braid.

More information on Indie Game: The Movie can be found over on the official website.
