As days continue to get shorter and colder we are of course going to be spending much more time inside playing a whole variety of video games. With Christmas only a few weeks away the less we have the spend the better. So I aim to bring you an assortment of great free games for you to play.
This week I have delved the depths of the internet to uncover some gems, from adventure to puzzle there is something for everyone! Enjoy the round up on a lazy Sunday afternoon. As always click the title for a link to the original article or the picture to be directed to the game.
Tombed really is a very fun and retro styled game. You play as Danger Jane and as you might expect manages to get into some pretty hair situations whilst tomb raiding. Short but sweet Tombed is a fantastic way to start your day.
An RPG top down take on the classic Slender game. It plays out rather well overall, of course much less intense than the original, but it still manages to convey a very nice atmospheric game. If you have played Slender you will no doubt be drawn to this title just out of curiosity and overall it has been constructed rather well and is definitely worth your time.
A very interesting take on the arcade style genre. Originally crated for a competition in which players would physically jump from button to button – it’s not hard to see how that worked – in Zaboodles. Lovingly designed with amazing graphics and fun gameplay, you cannot go wrong with Zaboodles.
A very interesting matching puzzle game from Colin Northway. Made over his time in Mexico the aim is to match the titles before the board fills. Caliente! is a game that proves highly challenging but very fun and is a must for any puzzle fan.
A very inspired take on the Greek myths of old. The game allows you to torment yourself for hours trying to achieve the many impossible tasks at hand. Created in a fantastic retro pixel art style you will have tons of infuriating fun with these Greek punishments.
So this rounds up yet another awesome week of great free titles from indies far and wide. Be sure to check back tomorrow at 12 noon for the next instalment on Indie Intermission.
