Indie Royale Launches The ‘Serious Sam Lightning Pack’, Includes World Exclusive Game

Out of the blue, we bring you news of a brand new Indie Royale – a special, if you will – the Serious Sam Lightning Pack has just launched so you better head on over there and get you some sweet deals!

We warned you that a Serious Sam related bundle was on the way, but we were not expecting it today! This pack marks the first of a new “lightning” series of Royale bundles which cater niche collections of PC games with a shorter time limit to make your purchase. So, no messing about this time, what do you get in this pack?

You’ll be familiar with most of those titles as they were recently released as spin-offs made by Vlambeer, Mommy’s Best Games and Be-Rad Entertainment – all fantastic in their own right. Of course two of them are the first two Serious Sam games from way back when, but what’s this, a new game?! You betcha – The Greek Encounter is a world exclusive launch for Indie Royale.

Serious Sam: The Greek Encounter is an 8-bit, top-down “demake” of Serious Sam, specially commissioned by Team Fortress Arcade and Halo/DJ Hero demake author Eric Ruth. It’s available for PC as a DRM-free download and on Desura, and sees Serious Sam in ancient Greece battling the relentless hordes of Mental’s army in an all-new retro 8-bit adventure.”

The Lightning Pack will run for only 100 hours at a starting price of $2.99 but this fluctuates depending on how much people fork out for it, as is usual for the Indie Royale bundles. All of the games are redeemable on Steam except The Greek Encounter which is Desura only. The original two Serious Sam games (First and Second Encounter) are available on Steam only.

More information on Indie Royale and the Serious Sam Lighting Pack can be found on the official Indie Royale website.
