Cardboard Box Entertainment announces today that their PC game J.U.L.I.A., is entering the beta testing phase. CBE is a Czech indie game studio, known for Ghost in The Sheet. Their closed beta test means the game is close to completion, although the listed release date for J.U.L.I.A is simply “2011″.
I have high hopes for the upcoming J.U.L.I.A. The game is described as a scifi puzzle game with a female protagonist, and the trailer shows a futuristic astronaut / scientist — not a half-dressed warrior princess — engaged in space exploration and problem solving. It looks like players will be solving real challenges, without a lot of combat or gore. Can’t wait to see what the final version has!
