Linux users, your time has come! Desura, probably our favourite indie game digital distributor, has now launched a Linux gaming client. In the words of Madonna, “Celebrate”.
The new application allows automatic installation and patching of games on any Linux distribution. With this release Desura are permitted a little moment of bragging as they are the only client which works on both Windows and Linux systems enabling games to be installed with just a simple click. Booyah!
Scott Reismanis the Founder of Desura, says “Linux users were continually reaching out to us offering their support and encouragement as we developed the Linux client. I believe we have created a robust tool to help promote and grow gaming on Linux. After an extensive 2 month beta, we are proud to unlock Desura for all Linux users and shift our attention towards adding to the more than 65 Linux games already offered.”
Desura will be expanding its library of Linux games and are celebrating the launch of the client by having a sale! Games available at a discount are the Hacker series from Exosyphen, A Typical RPG from Pyrodactyl and Steel Storm from Kot in Action. Not a bad day to be Linux user hey?
