Chaos on Deponia

Daedalic Entertainment happily announced that their point-and-click adventure game, Chaos on Deponia, will arrive on November 6th for both PCs and Macs. Chaos on Deponia is the second game in the Deponia Trilogy; the first game is simply called Deponia.

Chaos on Deponia tells the story of Goal and Rufus, the heroes of the game who must save Deponia from imminent destruction. The key to Deponia’s safety lies within Goal’s mind, but because Goal has multiple personalities, it falls to Rufus to keep Goal grounded, and focused on the mission.

Of course, things are not that simple. Rufus has problems of his own: he is selfish, ill-tempered, and is horrible at making plans. He refuses to admit fault when he is to blame for something, and he is an egocentric butthead who believes he is better than anything and anyone. However, luckily enough for Deponia, Goal is the one person Rufus cares about more than himself. But that does not mean things will be easy.

A number of antagonists will be at the duo’s heels throughout the adventure. Toni, Rufus’ ex-girlfriend and Baliff Argus, the right-hand man of the evil Chief Control Council, will pursue Rufus and Goal to the furthest corners of Deponia. I don’t know which antagonist sounds the scariest.

Prospective players can head to Daedalic Entertainment’s official website where they can buy the digital version, or, alternatively, buy the digital version on Steam, when the game launches November 6th.
