Developer Data Smuggler has released a new trailer for the recently added Regal Realms expansion for Ironfell. Ironfell is a hex-tile MMORTS, and the expansion has added ten new units along with two new Keep and Castle realms to the game. The new realms add in a different type of player vs. player combat where the creator of the new realm is invincible so that other players will have a safe place where they can go, instead of getting torn apart by the enemy units.
The Keep and Castle are there to serve as an entrance to other new realms. The Keep was created so that newer and less experienced players would be able to launch attacks on land, while the Castle focuses more on defense. Data Smuggler has listed all of the new units and structures on their website, so if you want detailed information on what everything does, you can read about them there.
Ironfell is entirely free-to-play, so if you are looking to hop in on the fun, just head on over to the official website to sign up for free. If you want to keep up with the development progress of the game, Data Smugglers has a development blog where they keep all of their players up to date on what is going on. Currently, Ironfell is available for Mac and Windows in a browser, with Android and iOS compatibility to come soon. The game is in open beta, so features in the game are subject to change.
