Bytebin Studios have announced that Deepworld, their cloud-based 2D adventure crafting game for Mac and iOS, will soon be entering its official Beta stage.
In order to help finance their project, Bytebin have set up a Kickstarter page through which members of the public can offer their donations. As usual, the bigger your monetary offering, the better your reward will be, with such goodies as digital artbooks, exclusive game worlds and unique hidden objects among the loot up for grabs. They’re currently asking for $20,000 before the May 17th deadline, with just over $2,300 having been accrued as of this writing.
Bytebin describes Deepworld as being “truly massively multiplayer,” allowing for an unlimited number of players to interact concurrently in a fully-modifiable online domain. Being of a cloud-based ilk, the game boasts the capacity for players to join and leave other users’ created worlds at their leisure, along with the potential for the sharing of user-created content with both friends and the community at large.
