Colibri Games created the website for The Tiny Bang Story a while ago. Every so often they would add a video or some images with little to no fanfare. You always had the option of signing up for their email list or following them on facebook or twitter.

In the same quiet style, The Tiny Bang Story has arrived; the email was sent and the product appeared on Steam and Gamer Gate. No fuss, just a tiny bang.

Also available now is the demo, a one-level head-scratcher that really sums up what you’re getting yourself into. From the beautifully hand drawn art to the thoughtful and interconnected point-and-click puzzles, all qualities of a well done indie game are covered.

The one downside is that there is little by way of explanation. If you rush through the tutorial, you can’t get it back and you will have only your wits about you or cheats you find on the internet to assist you.tiny bang story

Due to the calming style of the artwork and the music, you might not mind being stuck for a little while. You might find yourself clicking the flies that wander past your pointer. You might find that once you’ve clicked on 3o of them your question mark button is full and if you click in inside of a puzzle (red X button where some have green checks) you’ll be given an abstract blueprint clue…

This is a puzzler for those who appreciate beauty and artistry in their games but not so much that they’d sacrifice thoughtful gameplay to have them.

Check out the demo at colibrigames.com (Click “Get it Here!” — Mac and PC have three options, the third option is “Demo Version”)
