Ludum Dare 22

It looks like the competition is going to be pretty stiff in this year’s Ludum Dare; the 48 hour build-a-game-athon’s 22nd iteration. The competition does not start until this weekend, December 17th to the 19th, but many developers are already displaying their “warm up” games, so we had a quick look over them and came away even more excited about the event. The Warmup Weekend, as it is unofficially known, was used by developers entering the competition to test their skills, their tools and their willpower!

Now it’s your turn to give them a look over and see what you think. These warm up games are not usually made under the Ludum Dare rules, but some developers do like to test themselves, and usually their ability to work within a time limit. Usually these warmup games are made from scratch by one person in a single sustained period of coding and caffeine absorbing. Most of these have been made in under 24 hours, and are not full games typically, but you can still have a good old gander. Those participating can assess the competition, others can grasp a sense of the spirit of the event in anticipation of its forthcoming in less than five days!
