‘Uber Catacomb Snatch’ Makes Mojang’s Mojam Game Better

An “Uber” version of Mojang’s new RTS-shmup Catacomb Snatch makes the experience of playing it a lot more enjoyable. It’s also free of course so that’s good.

The Mojam weekend may have been and gone but that doesn’t mean the work has stopped. That’s right, Mojang’s Catacomb Snatch is receiving the UBER treatment. No that doesn’t mean an Austrian jumps out from cover, blasts a couple of guys with a shotgun before the word ‘UBER’ drops down from the sky. What is means is that Ubersoft Tech have got a hold of the game and improved it by squishing bugs and tweaking things to make the game just a little more user-friendly.

Mojang would have likely done this themselves but what they did manage in a 60 hour time limit was quite impressive as it was. If you don’t know what Catacomb Snatch is, then it can be understood as a shooter set in ancient Egypt, with some RTS elements thrown in for good measure.

Updates applied so far in Uber Catacomb Snatch include separating movement and shooting controls, bots now pick up coins from harvesters and a major crash bug is fixed, amongst others.
