Xenonauts

In order to make Xenonauts the shiny kind of polished that we all hope for it to be, Goldhawk Interactive have taken to Kickstarter in order to raise $50,000 for the final leg of development.

If you’ve been following Xenonauts at all then you’ll know that it’s a strategy title in much the same vein as the X-Com. You should also know that the development team’s disparate and part-time status means that is has taken a while to make. So far the team has been able to run on the generous proceedings from those who have pre-ordered the game but their hope is to now pull together a small full time team in order to finish the game as soon as possible and to a high standard.

But what if don’t know whether you’ll like the game? Do you really want to fund it and get yourself a retail copy for $20 if you’re not a fan? Well, Goldhawk have very handily released a free demo for you to play, you can download it here

There’s even more good news today as well – Goldhawk have managed to secure a distribution deal with Steam for Xenonauts so if you do pre-order you have the choice of a Steam or Desura version. Make sure to check out the Xenonauts Kickstarter page for more info and to have a gander at the reward tiers.

More information on Xenonauts can be found on the game’s official website.
