Epic Boss Fight In New Playable Version Of ‘Project Stormos’

Rob Storm, the developer of the fabulous anti-platformer, Project Stormos, has now released 0.220 version of the game to the public and it includes a rather fantastic boss fight.

If it wasn’t obvious or you just didn’t know, Project Stormos is one of our favorite upcoming games – it’s still in very early stages but has already surpassed the heights that many other games can only aim for. As far as platformers go it has the potential to be right up there with the best of them. The problem with that statement is that Project Stormos isn’t a platformer, at least in the traditional sense – it’s an anti-platformer. This infuses the gameplay with a lot of liberty as you essentially fly the robot around the levels avoiding contact with platforms at all costs.

The latest update for Project Stormos adds the game’s first boss fight and it is a very fitting for the game’s mechanics and pretty challenging to say the least. Embryo, as the level is called, requires the player to speed around a floating embryo of sorts and hack away at its shield. It feels very much like a classic boss fight and displays the potential of what is to come with Project Stormos. We highly recommend you give it a go, especially if you have been enjoying Dustforce for the last few days.

You can download Project Stormos for free on this page, the game is available for both Windows and Mac.

More information on Project Stormos can be found on the game’s official website.
