Hitbox Team have surprised us all by announcing that Dustforce will be coming to Steam in a week’s time! Alongside the new announcement they have also released some new screenshots and a brand new trailer.

The new blog post announcing the news simply states:

“After spending almost two years(!) in development, we’re happy to finally announce that Dustforce is just one week away from launch! On January 17th, you can get the game on Steam for $9.99 USD. Here’s a video and some screenshots to get you excited”.

Dustforce, for those who don’t know, is a gorgeous 2D platformer that has you playing as an acrobatic janitor, whose only weapon is their broom. With a beautfiul original soundtrack, over 50 levels, online leaderboards and local multiplayer; there’s no wonder that so many are you have been gearing up for this release, us included!

You can find the new trailer and the two new screenshots below for your viewing pleasure. You should also notice the multiplayer teaser which seems to have one side attempting to make a mess for the other side to clean up – notice we said “side” and not “player”, these modes support up to 4 players.
