‘Fez’ Has Been Rated By PEGI, Release Is Almost Here!

Four years is a long time for anyone to wait as we all have been for Phil Fish’s innovative platformer, Fez. When we first laid eyes upon its mind-blowing concept, we fell in love and have been biting our nails and every other part of our bodies in anticipation. Now, finally, PEGI has rated the game which means that it is almost here. It’s hard to believe, we know.

As is typical of Poytron Corporations game’s, Fez plays with the idea of perspective. Essentially you play as a 2D character and everything operates on a 2D plane, however, the world is actually 3D and you can rotate it at perpendiculars. It’s really hard to explain, so if you haven’t already, watch the gameplay below.

The PEGI rating means that the early 2012 release date that we were promised after the last delay is looking very realistic right now. The Australian Board or the ESRB have not yet rated the game though, but we presume this will follow up shortly. Unfortunately the PEGI classification does not spill the beans on a release date, or even give a rough idea of when it might be, but it’s soon and we are excited.

Fez should be coming to Xbox Live Arcade in early 2012.
