Today, Smudged Cat Games, announced a new content pack for The Adventures of Shuggy, entitled, Shuggy’s Teleporting Troubles. The content pack will include 40 brand new single-player levels filled with “clever conundrums and devious devices.” Best of all, the pack is free for existing owners of The Adventures of Shuggy.
The new levels will have Shuggy using a secondary teleporter in conjunction with the existing teleporter or any of Shuggy’s other tools.
The new content is free and will appear automatically for player who already own The Adventures of Shuggy. The developer recommends players to ensure that their game is up-to-date so that the new content will appear automatically on October 26th.
The Adventures of Shuggy is a retro-styled 2D platformer available on the Xbox Live Arcade and PC. The original game includes over 100 single-player levels, and 36 co-op levels. The levels feature different mechanics that help keep the gameplay fresh. For example, some levels have Shuggy traveling in time, flying, or turning into a zombie.
The game takes place in an old Scottish mansion recently inherited by Shuggy, a vampire. Unfortunately, the mansion property is full of evil spirits, and Shuggy must clear them all out. There is the Dungeon, the Boiler Room, the Gallery, the Graveyard, and the Clocktower, all of which are full of puzzles and enemies for Shuggy to deal with.
