‘Gratuitous Tank Battles’ Very Close To Beta

Cliff “Cliffski” Harris has released another gameplay video of his upcoming RTS/tower defense hybrid, Gratuitous Tank Battles, he has also said that the beta is very close!

Voted as your most anticipated game of this year on IGM, Gratuitous Tank Battles is one we’re keen to keep an eye on. It’s developer, Cliffski, has been hard at work adding a bunch of new effects to the game including shield distortion, bullet cannisters flying out of machineguns, snowfall amongst others. He outlined a few of these updates individually in his blog but in his latestblog post he has posted a video showcasing how the game is looking now.

Perhaps more exiting is what he says alongside the video:

“I think I am almost at the finish line regarding beta + pre orders now. Just a lot of housekeeping to do in the next few weeks, for stuff like crash testing, multi resolution support, and finalising the installer.”

Those long awaiting the beta release of Gratuitous Tank Battles will finally be able to get their hands on it soon. Cliff says that the beta will be open to all of those who have pre-ordered the game, as was the case with his previous game Gratuitous Space Battles. Make sure you keep your eyes and ears open for that! For now, watch this bullet-ridden gameplay.

You can find more information on Gratuitous Tank Battles over on the official website.

Valuing gameplay and innovation over everything, Chris has a keen eye for the most obscure titles unknown to man and gets a buzz from finding fantastic games that are not getting enough love. Chris Priestman, Editor-in-Chief of IGM
