I personally am quite a big fan of the horror genre overall and gaming really has offered many interesting new takes on this genre. From the very tense Amnesia to the creepy Limbo they come in all shapes and sizes. With this latest addition being something a bit more at the Limbo end of the scale.

Grimind has been created by Pawel Mogila. A solo indie developer from Poland developing this great looking new title. Having a very similar art styling to Limbo and containing various puzzles Pawel Mogila seems to of taken the Limbo concept and built on it with his own ideas.

Where Limbo went for the ambient and silent protagonist in Grimind you will have the narrative put across via the character himself. He will convey thoughts and feeling and really try to establish a connection to the player.

Grimind will be focusing greatly around the physic based gameplay. Introducing many different physics based puzzles for you to overcome as nearly everything can be dragged, dropped or thrown the level of interaction sounds rather great.

There has been a demo released of Grimind which will really allow you to see what you think about the game so far. This will give you a much better understanding of the game overall.

Grimind looks a very promising new game that draws in some great mechanics and a fantastic art style that is very reminiscent of Limbo. Grimind is available to pre-order and this is not just any old pre-order.

Pawel Mogila has implemented in a Kickstarter-esque style of funding with a full tier system so be sure to check that out. To pre-order point your browser to the official website here and snap it up for as little as $10. The demo is also available from the official site. If you like what you see consider heading to Steam’s Greenlight page here and voting it up.

Expect to see Grimind released towards the end of the year.
