Yesterday, Jungle Troll Entertainment happily announced the release of Wisps: The Redeeming.

Wisps: The Redeeming is a relaxing labyrinth-navigator where players control a wisp god who uses a firefly to guide his demi-god son through the woods as the son attempts to redeem the souls of the dark wisps that linger there. Time is limited, so players must act quickly and find the most efficient way to maneuver through the mazes of each level.

The game boasts infinite levels of randomly generated labyrinths, with an ever-increasing level of difficulty the further in players get. To keep the visuals from becoming repetitive, Wisps offers multiple environments with varying weather effects; up to fifty possible combinations of the two.

Scattered throughout the randomly generated levels, are upgrades and downgrades available for pickup. The catch is that you won’t know if it’s a power-up or a handicap until you pick it up.

Wisps: The Redeeming is available now. There is a demo version available from the official website, and the full version of the game is available for $4.99 from both Indievania and IndieCity.
