‘Osmos’ Now Absorbed On To Android, Sale Price For First Week

Ah, Osmos. The relaxing blob-eating game. If you recall Hemisphere Games’ award-winning ambient title you will no doubt be glad to hear of its availability on Android. For those not familiar with the title, now is the chance to change that around!

Now available on basically every platform that isn’t a console, Osmos is absorbing or being absorbed in practically every direction. Its latest release is on the Android Market where it can be found for a mere $2.99 (40% off) for the first week of its launch, so hurry! If you don’t want to commit to the full version straight off though, you can test the game out by downloading the demo.

Primarily I would point you to our review of Osmos to find out more information and how good we think it is. Of course, it’s probably not as good as Osmosis Jones; you know, the part animated, part live-action flick? Bah, it’s wasted on you. Anyway, if you could not possibly dispense the effort of reading our review for that would require far too much effort, here is a brief description of Osmos from the developers and a relaxing trailer for your viewing:

“Your objective is to grow by absorbing other motes. Propel yourself by ejecting matter behind you. But be wise: ejecting matter also shrinks you. Relax…good things come to those who wait.”

You can find out more information on Osmos and find download links for all the other platforms on the official website.
