Sad Raptor: ‘ORION: Dino Beatdown’ Release Delayed

After an unfortunate weekend, Spiral Game Studios say that they have had to delay the release of ORION: Dino Beatdown for two weeks.

“We are extremely sad with this as it has been a long journey and all we want to do is punch Raptors in the face with you”, it says on the Spiral Game blog. Oh we so badly want to punch a raptor in the face now, oh please! What are they sad about though and how could anything be more important than punching a dinosaur in the face? Well, described merely as “a string of unfortunate events” that has spread the team too thin, Spiral have been forced to push the release date of ORION: Dino Beatdown by two weeks to May 4th 2012 rather than the previously planned April 20th release.

With many of the team here being a big fan of dinosaurs, there were a few disappointed faces but we know that if a developer needs more time to ensure a game is the best it can then they should be granted that. To make up for it, Spiral have released some new screenshots and a new trailer for the game which details its playable classes and their different abilities. If you didn’t know – Dino Beatdown is an open world class-based, co-op FPS in which you shoot dinosaurs, that’s all anyone should need to know to be sold on the idea we think.

You can check out the trailer below and prepare for the release of Dino Beatdown on Steam and OnLive on May 4th.
