Adventure RPG ‘Driftmoon’ Gets A Launch Trailer

After seven years of development, Instant Kingdom’s adventure RPG, Driftmoon, is nearing release.

On February 26th, Driftmoon will launch, and husband-and-wife development team, Ville and Anne Monkkonen, will be able to finally see players enjoy their creation.

Instant Kingdom boasts that Driftmoon contains 10-30 hours of gameplay, and an infinite amount of replay value due to the game’s modability. Driftmoon contains a “powerful editor” that allows easy mod installation, with one click of the mouse.

To celebrate the nearing of the release date, Instant Kingdom released a launch trailer showing off the game in action.

In the kingdom of Driftmoon, the citizens tremble in anticipation as the evil king Ixal is gathering his forces, undoubtedly to assault and try to conquer the land. After all, what else do evil kings do? However, there is hope, and it comes in the unlikely alliance of a young man with a firefly companion (…sounds familiar), a panther queen with an ego the size of a “moon whale”, and “a very determined fellow who’s lost everything but his bones, and still hasn’t given up”. I rather like that last description.

Gamers interested in Driftmoon can get their hands on a demo, which is available on the official website. The full version of the game is coming, February 26th, for 14.99 € ($19.73).
