Conquer the Galaxy in Falling Stars: War of Empires

Falling Stars: War of Empires is a 4X turn-based strategy game that tasks players with expanding their empires and taking control of the galaxy. The game has been in development for two years, and heavily prioritizes decision-based gameplay where every choice has a large impact on the final outcome of the game.

Each planet in Falling Stars: War of Empires features a unique history and its own in-depth bartering system which allows you to negotiate with inhabitants, as opposed to conquering them outright. The political system is unlike other 4X turn-based games, featuring highly variable agendas which can be voted on every round. You can also use your negotiation skills to bribe rogue fleets which roam the galaxy searching for loot, tricking them into attacking your enemies instead.

The game will support both single-player mode and an online multiplayer mode, the latter of which will pair players up with opponents of similar skill levels based on a match-making system. Single player mode promises to be an in-depth campaign with multiple paths to victory, letting players choose how to command their empire. There are several fleet units to select from, each bearing unique technological modifications to suit various strategic needs, and include the dreadnaught class, scout class, carrier class and fighter class.

In addition to a recently launched Steam Greenlight campaign, Falling Stars: War of Empires is seeking funding on Kickstarter with a funding goal of $10k USD, with a planned release set for PC, Mac, and Linux.
