The doors are now open for hopeful developers to submit their game to the A MAZE. Indie Games Award 2012 in hope of being internationally recognised and receiving that nifty cash prize.

Taking place as part of the Deutsche Gamestage 2012 in Berlin from April 26th to the 27th, the A MAZE. Indie Games Award 2012 will be given to the “Most Amazing Indie Game” as picked by the event’s high profile international jury. All entries will be competing for a € 5000 grand prize, which they can use to boost development in any way they see fit.

Anyone can submit their game so feel free to do so by heading on over to the submission page and filling out the form. The deadline for submissions is March 30th 2012 and the finalists will be announced in mid April 2012.

“All of us here at the A MAZE. Indie Connect are amazed about games that showcases innovation, subversion, progression and culture impact”, said by Thorsten S. Wiedemann, festival director. “The A MAZE. Indie Games Award reflects developers’ courage, taking risks and experimenting recklessly with the medium. They push forward gaming’s potential for intellectual and cultural-political exchange.”

We’re now official media partners of the A MAZE. Indie Connect so you can expect to see us there looking at your games, scribbling down notes and getting to know you! That means we’ll also be featuring the nominees and finalists as part of our coverage of the event, spreading the word of finest indie games on display during the festival.

The A MAZE. Indie Connect is the first full package Indie Games Festival in Germany in Berlin, and in Europe including a conference, workshops, exhibition, party and award ceremony. You can find out more information on the event and purchase tickets on its official page.
