Woohoo! It’s Friday again and you better be up for playing some free indie games because we have them for you, right here. This week’s picks are an assorted bunch, there may even be something for everyone in here actually…maybe not. To be fair though, we have a right mix of genres – most of the games are fairly typical of each one but that’s not a bad thing. Is it?
Cherry’s Quest For Coffee by Maddoxic
This is a simple, short but memorable little point and click title that many of us will find all too familiar – “I NEED MORE COFFEE DAMMIT!”
“During a worldwide coffee shortage, Cherry Starma discovers her can is empty! Will the store have any left?”
Red Crucible 2 (Mac only) by Rocketeer Games
We’re thinking that many will already know about this game but we thought to just make sure. If you’re in to shooting fellow man, on foot and on wheels, then this free entry into the crowded multiplayer shooter market may just be right up your street.
“Red Crucible is a new 3D online multiplayer game featuring both infantry and vehicle arena style combat within fully rendered 3D settings. Red Crucible is designed to appeal to both casual and hard core gamers.”
MegaGlest by MegaGlest Team
Ah, a free RTS, this will pass those long hours away in the office with a new found ease. MegaGlest is all about establishing settlements to gain resources and then attacking and defending – it supports up to 8 player matches too!
“MegaGlest is an entertaining free and open source cross-platform 3D real-time strategy (RTS) game, where you control the armies of one of seven different factions”.
Pino’s Tower by Blue Star Interact
There’s not too much to say about this one in all honesty. It’s a very simple platformer which is fun to play for a few minutes, or a bit longer if you love the music as much as we do.
“Pino’s Tower is a early 80s style platformer where the player has to collect all the fruits present in the level to access the next level.”
SCP-087 by ???
Oh great…loads of stairs….more stairs….yup, still stairs….(10 minutes later) “AHHHH WHAT WAS THAT?!”
“Features procedural generation of floors and events, so every playthrough is different.”
Remember to check out last week’s free indie game picks if you need more of the good stuff in your life.
