Indie Intermission – ‘Team Fortress Arcade’ A De-Make Of Epic Proportions

Welcome back to another week of free games and ever more ways to waste your time. On a bleak Monday just a few weeks away from Christmas I offer a beacon of hope to get you through these final weeks before the holidays.

Today’s game is an oldie but a goodie and being a de-make of the classic Team Fortress ,who could say no to it. I am of course talking about Team Fortress Arcade from Eric Ruth.

Team Fortress Arcade is totally different to the original Valve game and presents itself as a 2D side scrolling shoot em up, similar to classic games like Streets Of Rage or the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles game that I did enjoy greatly in my childhood.

Here however you have the ability to pick between each of the Team Fortress classes and go to town on all manner of interesting robots as you battle for the Blue teams supremacy. Although the levels are laden with robots the end bosses are various other Team Fortress characters, all using their special abilities to ruin your day.

Average play time – 30 minutes

Even if you are not a fan of Team Fortress you will get great enjoyment out of this de-make of a classic, full of many great throwbacks to the original. If you are a fan of classic side scrolling shoot em ups than Team Fortress Arcade will be right up you ally as it have been lovingly crafted and contains a great deal of play time.

Be sure to download Team Fortress Arcade here and check out.
