What is Shikon X?

Shikon-X Astro Defense Fortress is a brand-new graphic adventure game. But it’s more than just that – it’s also a pinball game, space shoot ‘em up, and so much more. The game offers you a mix of all the arcade games of the 80s and 90s that you had grown to love, along with a graphic adventure game. In short, the game is packed with a variety of games and puzzles that, when solved, will help you progress through the story and the game.

Shikon-X Astro Defense Fortress is categorized as a miscellaneous game. It is developed and also published by Kindermann Corp. The game is all set to be released next year.

As a player of the game, you play the protagonist, Major Daaia, who pilots Shikon X – a high tech ship.

About Shikon-X Astro Defense Fortress

Earth scientists have mastered the secrets and art of gathering space energy. They collect vast amounts of this energy into what they call “Life Capsules.” These life capsules form floating clusters that orbit the planet.

The story begins with the world being at peace for several decades. However, a guerrilla from the planet Rolar has been finding and destroying the Earth’s Life Capsules. As a player, your mission is to defend these energy sources from those terrorists.

In the game, Major Daaia (the player) is the only pilot in the federation who has the training and the skills to handle Shikon-X. This ship boasts of advanced defense capabilities and can also transform into “attack mode” when the situation calls for it.

The Shikon-X Astro Defense Fortress game unfolds in a variety of ways. The game begins as a graphic adventure. You can chat with your soldiers and solve all the various puzzles that must be solved to advance through the plot.

You will move into an arcade game-phase that starts just like Breakout/Arkanoid. You will bounce attacks with your ship, the Shikon-X, while you are in the defense mode. Sounds easy enough? Don’t be so sure, because that will soon turn into a shoot ‘em up, a game like Galaga/Space Invaders, with wall-to-wall arcade action.

As you make your way through the arcade sections, the story will keep unfolding. You must keep a continuous watch on the Shikon-X communication screens to ensure you don’t lose the plot.

When you are in the mothership, you can continue with the story and also play a variety of other mini-games, like Space Pinball’s Bounty Hunter Baby. New games will be continually added on to ensure the game keeps your interest level soaring.

As you progress through each chapter, you will come across several mini-games, and many more story beats, and all these will be directly added to the main game. That means you require no DLC, and there will be nothing to buy.
